Padi Divemaster Course

Padi Instructor level training begins with the Padi Divemaster course.
The Padi Instructor Development course (IDC) assumes that all components of the divemaster course have been mastered.
Our Padi Divemaster course is actually an internship, working with our instructors and our actual guests.

  • Suitable for a diver who is working, studying or living on our island.
  • Course length and session timing is adjusted to suit your availability.
  • This is your first step to becoming a Padi Professional.

Course Content

  • Knowledge development - self study and classroom sessions.
  • Stamina and water skills assessment.
  • Rescue assessment.
  • Skills mastery and demonstration.
  • Training exercises - dive site mapping, kit exchange, and DM conducted programs.
  • Participation in Padi courses with our divers to develop the skills necessary for assisting students.
  • Lots of experience of real diving situations.

What you need to know

  • Mimimum of Rescue certification required. (Does not need to be "Padi").
  • Minimum of 40 logged dives to start the course, 60 dives to qualify.
  • Minimum age 18 yrs.
  • You need to have excellent basic dive skills and be willing to listen and follow instruction.
  • You will need a full set of personal dive gear plus safety equipment.
