Pro Divers St Kitts, a Padi 5-star Dive Center

Please observe the following rules when diving with us

We don’t have a lot of “rules”. Our aim is for you to relax and enjoy your time with us. These “best practice” rules are for your safety and the comfort of all our guests and crew.
Please read these along with our Frequently Asked Questions.

Diving with us is meant to feel relaxed, safe, and easy from the moment you step on the boat. We keep our rules simple — just a few best‑practice guidelines that help protect you, our crew, and the beautiful marine life around St. Kitts. Before you join us for a morning on the water, take a moment to review these friendly reminders so you know exactly what to expect and can enjoy your dives with complete peace of mind.

On the Boat

Bring a waterproof bag for items you don’t want to get wet.

Dry storage is minimal, large “suitcase-type” gear bags may be subjected to seaspray

No footwear (except dive boots) on the boat.

No smoking please, no vaping, and no alcohol on the boat.

Before Diving

Please bring your Certification Card or Log Book with you.

It is your responsibility to ensure you are medically fit for diving. You may be asked to complete a Medical Statement.

Juniors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult ON THE BOAT (Liability releases will need to be countersigned by an appropriate adult for any diver under 18).

Padi Courses and DSD guests

Specific rules apply, please see the relevant course pages.

Scuba Diving Safety

Please follow the Instructor’s directions and listen to the dive briefing.

If you require assistance, please ask. That is what we are there for!

We use the buddy system – always dive with your buddy.

Solo diving is only allowed with appropriate Solo Diving qualifications and safety equipment.

Please maintain visual contact with the dive group throughout the dive.

If you are separated from the group AND your buddy, do a normal ascent (with a safety stop) and end your dive.

We ask you to make a safety stop after every dive – 3 minutes at 15 feet (5m). Make this longer if you wish.

Deco diving is not allowed.

For safety, we ask that you start your ascent with 500 psi (40 bar) in your cylinder and ascend no faster than 60ft (10m) per minute.

Please do not touch any marine life or coral during your dive. Be particularly careful not to kick coral with your fins.

Sunscreens (unless they are “reef safe”) cause damage to the coral. Please limit your use when diving. Our boat has plenty of shade.

If you have any questions about our procedures, medical requirements, junior diver policies, or anything else before your dive day, our team is always happy to help you prepare.

We dive on Mondays to Saturdays, usually in the mornings.

Please contact us if you wish to dive at other times or would like to inquire about a private charter.
