Margot and Auston Macleod are the owners and operators of Pro Divers St Kitts.
Margot is our Managing Director and dive co-ordinator.
Margot is a Kittitian who was educated in Canada.
She has been involved in the hospitality industry and was previously part of the front office management at the Four Seasons resort in Nevis.
Margot is also a diver and will sometimes accompany us on the boat.
Auston left Scotland when he was 9 and was brought up on the Turks and Caicos Islands.
He was originally taught to dive by the local islanders.
After over 35 years of teaching and 45 years of diving around St Kitts, he knows how to find the best sites for experiencing our underwater world.
His personal dive count is definitely over 20,000 dives.
Auston is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Instructor.
Auston likes to personally lead most of our dive tours and has the uncanny ability to spot sealife that you will never see on your own.
Terry teaches most of our training courses and our DSD experiences.
In the UK, in water temperatures of 32°F, he spent many hours diving the coastal and inland waters. Regular vacations in the Caribbean mean he has dived on many of the islands and also extensively in the Red Sea and Asia.
Terry and his wife became permanent residents of St Kitts in 2007 and now call St Kitts their home.
Terry has over 2,500 registered students with PADI. His personal dive count is over 5,500 dives.
Terry is an IDC Staff Instructor and a PADI Master Instructor. He has his personal website and blog at mystkittsdivebuddy.
In addition to the regular Open Water, Advanced Open Water, and Rescue courses, he is qualified to teach many classes, including instructor-level courses.
His qualifications as an Instructor include Fish ID, Project Aware Reef Conservation, Project Aware Shark Conservation, Night Diving, Wreck, Nitrox, Deep, Photography, Navigator, Search and Recovery, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Dry Suit, Ocean Safety (his own PADI-approved course), and Self-Reliant Diver (Solo Diver) Course.
For fun, Terry likes the deeper stuff and Sidemount diving. He holds TDI Heliotrox, TDI Advanced Nitrox, and TDI Sidemount qualifications.
Jay is our boatman.
Jay is from Guyana and now lives in St Kitts.
When he joined us in 2023, he quickly became an excellent free diver and subsequently took his
PADI Open Water and PADI Advanced Open Water courses with us.
Once you have met Jay, you will realize why we say,
“Every dive boat needs a Jay.”
Pro Divers St Kitts was established in 1981.
Originally based in Turtle Beach, we then moved on to the small dock at Ocean Terrace Inn in Basseterre.
Since 2018, we have been based at the Port Zante Marina in Basseterre.
Our original ownership remains, with Terry joining us in 2008 and Jay in 2023.
During 2013, we achieved PADI 5 Star status, the only PADI 5 Star dive center on the island of St Kitts.

Pro Divers St. Kitts is led by a highly experienced, long‑standing team with deep roots in Caribbean diving.
