We are professional Scuba Diving Educators offering an extensive range of Padi Courses. We also provide tailored training for the individual.

Solo / Self-reliant diver
The Padi Self Reliant course is the only course that gives you the skills and the mindset to dive without a buddy.
It is a great course for any diver who has a need or wish to dive without a buddy.
Photographers will find this useful, as will divers who travel without a regular buddy.
This is also a great course if you are considering becoming a dive professional.
Self Reliant Diver Course – 2 Days +
Academic Study – you purchase the study manual before arriving on the island.
Study review – We look at risk management, equipment requirements, dive planning, gas planning, and more.
4 boat dives over 2 days – During these dives we will cover necessary skills, assessing your skill set and capabilities. The last dive will be a completely solo dive for you.
Padi-approved specialty course counts towards MSD.
What you need to know
A minimum of Advanced Open Water certification is required. (This does not need to be “Padi”).
A minimum of 100 logged dives. (Logbook required).
You will need a full set of personal dive gear plus safety equipment for this course.
You will need your own personal Dive Computer for this course.
You need to have excellent basic dive skills and be willing to follow strict safety protocols.
The loan of extra gear, spare gear, plus a Pony bottle with regs is included but you need to own and bring all the gear you normally dive with plus the required safety equipment for this course.
As an experienced diver, we expect you to have an understanding of your own SAC rate and gas planning and management.
Standards for the course
This course is as much about developing a “safety-conscious” mindset as it is about new skills.
This course is not just about “passing the skills test”, you will be required to demonstrate that you have the correct “mindset” for solo diving.
This course takes 2 days to complete. This timing and the course price presume that you have excellent basic skills. If additional training time is required it can be provided at extra cost.
All Student divers are required to complete a diver medical form.
